About Me

Hi, I’m Imani Young—a multidisciplinary designer with a background in architecture and graphic design, focused on environmental graphics, brand identity, and spatial storytelling. My creative journey began with hand-drawn illustrations and evolved into a passion for shaping visual experiences that are thoughtful, strategic, and engaging. My work is rooted in the belief that design should do more than look good—it should guide, communicate, and shape how people move through and connect with an experience.

My foundation in architecture trained me to think in terms of structure, movement, and experience—an approach I now apply to brand systems, environmental graphics, and user-centered visual communication. I’m especially drawn to branding because it sits at the intersection of storytelling, perception, and experience—and I’m most interested in how brands come to life not only on screen, but in physical space. I enjoy crafting visual identities that not only look refined, but also build trust and resonate on a deeper, emotional level.

I approach each project with curiosity, structure, and care, balancing concept with clarity. Whether I’m designing identity elements, campaign assets, or environmental applications, I’m interested in creating work that feels purposeful, human, and grounded in experience.
